The Xiaomi Redmi 17 256GB Oak Green smartphone is a modern mobile phone from the Redmi family, designed for everyday use, communication and entertainment. With an emphasis on a large screen, powerful storage space and smooth operation, the phone is tailored both for users who like to follow content on social networks, as well as for those who want to store a lot of photos, videos or applications.

The combination of a 6.79-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an octa-core Mediatek Helio G91-Ultra processor ensures smooth menu navigation, fast app loading, and comfortable video watching or light gaming. In practice, this means that using the phone in everyday situations is responsive, and the cache prevents slowdowns even when multiple apps are open at the same time.

The built-in 256GB of storage provides enough capacity to store a large amount of content, such as high-resolution photos, videos, music and apps, so you don't have to constantly delete data or worry about free space. The 4GB of RAM allows for smooth switching between basic apps and ensures a satisfying experience in everyday use.

The 50MP main camera captures sharp, detailed photos, especially in good light. The 8MP front camera is perfect for video calls or selfies. The HyperOS 3 operating system brings an updated user interface and additional features for a more flexible use of the phone. The presence of 4G network support ensures faster connectivity for web browsing and content downloads, which means a reliable experience in urban and rural environments.

Key product features

⚖️ Compare features with other products of your choice

Xiaomi Redmi 17 256GB is designed for everyday use, where the focus is on balancing performance, ease of use and generous storage space. The large 120 Hz display allows for a smoother experience, as images and animations are displayed more smoothly, which is especially noticeable when scrolling through content or watching videos. This display design offers noticeably better responsiveness compared to classic 60 Hz panels for people who frequently follow social networks or play games.

The Mediatek Helio G91-Ultra octa-core processor combined with 4GB of RAM enables efficient execution of most tasks, such as using multiple apps, browsing the web, or playing games more easily. In practice, this is reflected in fast app launches and less frequent lag, even when multiple processes are open in the background.

The oak green finish makes the phone stand out visually and allows for a slightly more personal user experience. With 256 GB of internal memory, users can store a large amount of images, videos and applications without worrying about running out of space quickly.

The main 50 MP camera allows for detailed photo capture, while the selfie camera provides satisfactory image quality in everyday use. The presence of two rear cameras means additional creativity when capturing images, and the options for portrait or macro photography depend on the specific specifications of the sensor. The HyperOS 3 interface provides an updated user experience and added functionalities, and with support for the 4G network, the phone is ready for fast data transfer in most Slovenian mobile networks.

It is important to know

Before buying this smartphone, it is worth considering what key features you need and how long you plan to use it. With devices in this price and performance class, it is not a given that the phone will excel at absolutely all tasks, so it makes sense to prioritize a balance of basic features over attractive technical data. Pay particular attention to the combination of performance, usability and long-term value.

• A phone with 4 GB of RAM will be sufficient for basic daily tasks, but using multiple demanding apps or games at the same time can sometimes slow down performance; for smooth use of multiple apps, it is recommended to regularly close background programs.
• 256GB of space will be more than enough for the average user, however, there is no expansion via memory card, which is worth considering if you often record video or store a lot of photos locally.
• The 120 Hz display allows for smoother scrolling and a better experience when scrolling and gaming, but the brightness is not suitable for intensive use in bright sunlight.
• The 50MP camera is especially useful for basic photos and social media posts, but don't expect advanced photography capabilities or superior quality in low-light conditions.
• The device falls into the mid-range of the affordable price range, which means that more important parameters are stable performance, software support, and battery life, rather than prestigious or premium features.
