It is important to know

Before you decide to buy the White Shark GOTTAN-B GH-2446 headphones, it's crucial to assess whether their combination of large speakers, wired connectivity, and gaming orientation suits your usage style. Important differences in fit, usability, and practicality may not be apparent from the specs alone, so consider the following facts before making a purchase:

• The over-ear design offers comfort for extended use, but it's not the most portable and takes up more space - an advantage when sitting at a computer, but less so when frequently mobile.
• A wired connection with a 3.5mm jack means very low audio latency, which is important for gaming or watching videos, but it limits you to devices with the appropriate input and reduces your freedom of movement.
• A detachable microphone is practical for transitioning between gaming and regular use, but be careful how you attach and detach the microphone to maintain the longevity of the connection.
• The 2 m length of the braided cable allows for greater mobility around the workbench, but may be redundant in smaller spaces and requires some organization to keep the cable from tangling.

In practice

🟢 Gaming and long hours of playing

Perfect fit – with the comfort of an over-ear fit, low latency wired connection, and detachable microphone, these headphones meet the main needs of typical gamers.

🟡 Music and everyday use

Suitable with limitations – 53mm speakers are good for listening to music, but use is limited to devices with a 3.5mm jack; less suitable for users who want to listen on a smartphone without this input or on the go.

🟡 Video calls and working from home

Suitable with limitations – The detachable microphone offers basic functionality for calls, but there is no active noise cancellation on the microphone, which can affect clarity in noisier environments.

🔴 Sports and exercise

Less convenient – the larger over-ear model and wired connection limit comfortable use during exercise or sports.

🟡 Travel and on-the-go use

Suitable with limitations – a robust cable is useful for longer-term use, but the larger size and need for a physical connection make the headphones less convenient for frequent carrying or travel.

Answers to frequently asked questions

Are these headphones compatible with all devices?

You can use them with devices that have a 3.5mm jack, such as most computers, laptops, and some game consoles; direct use with newer phones without this input is not possible without an adapter.

Is the cable long enough to use at a computer desk?

The 2-meter braided cable allows for comfortable movement even on larger desks or when the computer is not right next to you.

How practical is a detachable microphone?

The microphone can be easily removed when you don't need it, making it easy to transition between gaming and listening to music or watching videos.

Are the headphones suitable for listening to music?

The 53mm speakers provide solid sound reproduction for music, but the larger size means less portability compared to smaller models.
