Thanks to the multifunctional display of the WS40 weather station, you can simultaneously monitor the readings of four temperature and humidity sensors. One sensor is built into the weather station, the other three can be placed wherever you want: outdoors, in the bedroom or in the garage. Thanks to the LCD displays in the sensors, you can read the data even when they are nearby.

The Blaupunkt WS40 weather station has a built-in sensor for measuring the temperature and humidity in the room where it is installed. An additional three wireless sensors with LCD displays can measure outdoors or at any selected location. The measured temperature and humidity data are constantly updated and displayed on the integrated LCD display*. In addition, the device has a memory for the minimum and maximum values, both temperature and humidity, which are automatically reset when the next day starts. The temperature values can be displayed in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.

In addition to temperature and humidity readings, trend indicators for these parameters are available. Arrows that appear on the screen show how the measured values have changed over the last hour. An arrow pointing up indicates that the parameter has increased in value, a downward arrow indicates that the parameter has decreased in value, and a horizontal arrow indicates that the given value has not changed.

You don't have to wait for the weather forecast – just look at the weather station!

The WS40 weather station also features a graphical weather forecast for the next 12-24 hours. Please note that this forecast is calculated based on variations in atmospheric pressure values and has limited accuracy, but it is a useful tool for estimating weather conditions for the next few hours at a specific location. Depending on the prevailing conditions, pictograms are available to predict sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy or snowy weather.

Pressure drop – time for coffee!

The WS40 weather station has a built-in sensor for measuring absolute atmospheric pressure, and the readings are displayed on the screen. If you feel a sudden drop in energy or are a weather freak, you just have to look at the screen and if the pressure is low, it's a sign that you need to make a cup of coffee.

Please note that this weather station reads absolute atmospheric pressure, which may differ from the official weather forecast. The reason for this difference is that the relative pressure given in official weather forecasts is reduced to sea level. The absolute pressure shown in this model is the pressure measured at a given location at the appropriate altitude.

The WS40 weather station has been precisely calibrated at our factory and the weather forecast will automatically calibrate itself within the first two weeks of use. However, if you wish to correct it manually, you can do so while performing the presets.

What time is it and what day is it today?

The LCD display also features a clock that can display the current time in 12- and 24-hour format. Thanks to this, the station is also a useful timepiece. In addition to the clock, there is also a calendar that tells you what day of the month it is and what day of the week it is. The names of the days of the week are available in seven languages (DE, EN, FR, IT, SP, DU and DA) and can be changed when setting the calendar.

Hello! Wake up!

The WS40 weather station also has an alarm clock function, so if you need to wake up early, just set the time you want the alarm to go off and sleep soundly. The alarm clock will turn on automatically, and if you want to sleep even longer, turn on the snooze function and the alarm will be postponed by 5 minutes. The alarm clock has a sound that lasts 2 minutes - long enough to wake up even the most sleepy person. You can use the alarm clock not only to wake you up - it can also act as a reminder for some important things during the day that you don't want to miss.

What is the moon phase?

The WS40 weather station features an indicator of the current moon phases. If you are a home astrologer or believe that the moon phases affect the quality of your sleep or emotional life, this feature will be very useful for you. One glance at the screen and you already know whether it is a new moon or a full moon today!

The WS40 model is unique in that the indications of all four sensors are available simultaneously on one screen. You can see exactly what the readings of each sensor are. This is very convenient. In addition, the color LCD display is very clear and extremely readable.

LCD screen! Dim it as you like.

The WS40 weather station's display has a dimming function and no, it's not cheating, it just changes the brightness of the backlight and, importantly, it doesn't do it on its own. You decide when to dim the display to avoid glare or to make it more visible. In addition, it has an automatic programming function to dim or brighten the display. Simply set the time you usually go to bed and wake up at, and the display will dim and brighten accordingly so as not to disturb your sleep. Isn't that useful?

Power supply.

The WS40 weather station is plugged into a wall outlet with the included 5V, 1200mA power adapter, and the wireless outdoor sensors are powered by two AA batteries each (batteries are included. To ensure that the station remembers its settings during a power outage, you need to purchase 3 AA batteries and insert them into the battery compartment on the back of the device! The station can operate without them, but you will need to re-enter the appropriate settings after a power outage. These optional batteries can also serve as an alternative power source when you take the station to a place where you do not have access to electricity. When operating on batteries, the display automatically turns off to save battery power.

In addition, the LCD screen has battery level indicators for all external sensors, so you know when the batteries are running low and can replace them in time.

Standing or hanging?

Do as you like. The station housing is designed so that you can place the entire device on a table or windowsill, as well as hang it on the wall, as there is a hole for a hook on the back, and the power cable is located in a special housing so as not to interfere with the installation. The included wireless sensor also has a standing and hanging option. Remember to place the sensor where it will be protected from wind and rain and in the shade, without direct sunlight, which can negatively affect the temperature and humidity readings.
