The WS30 has a built-in sensor to measure the temperature and humidity in the room where it is installed. The included additional wireless sensor can measure outdoors or at any selected location. The temperature and humidity measurement data is constantly updated and displayed on the integrated LCD display*. In addition, the device has a memory of the minimum and maximum values, both temperature and humidity, which are automatically reset when the next day starts. The temperature values can be displayed in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.

In addition to temperature and humidity readings, trend indicators for these parameters are available. Arrows that appear on the screen show how the measured values have changed over the last hour. An arrow pointing up indicates that the parameter has increased in value, a downward arrow indicates that the parameter has decreased in value, and a horizontal arrow indicates that the given value has not changed.

You don't have to wait for the weather forecast – just look at the weather station!

The WS30 weather station also features a graphical weather forecast for the next 12-24 hours on its display. Please note that this forecast is calculated based on temperature and humidity fluctuations and has limited accuracy, but it is a useful tool for estimating weather conditions in the next few hours at a specific location. Depending on the prevailing conditions, pictograms are available to predict sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy or snowy weather.

Pressure drop – time for coffee!

The WS30 weather station has a built-in sensor for measuring absolute atmospheric pressure, and the readings are displayed on the screen. If you feel a sudden drop in energy or are a weather person, you just have to look at the screen and if the pressure is low, it is a sign that you need to make a cup of coffee.

Please note that this weather station reads absolute atmospheric pressure, which may differ from the official weather forecast. The reason for this difference is that the relative pressure given in official weather forecasts is reduced to sea level. The absolute pressure shown in this model is the pressure measured at a given location at the appropriate altitude.

Increase the specifications!

The WS30 weather station has been precisely calibrated in our manufacturing facility, but if for any reason you wish to adjust the measurements to your needs, you can manually calibrate the indoor temperature, indoor humidity and pressure values. The temperature calibration range is +/- 5 degrees, humidity +/- 10% and pressure +/- 9 hPa. When setting up the weather station, you can also manually adjust the associated weather forecast pictograms.

What time is it and what day is it today?

The LCD display also features a clock that can display the current time in 12- and 24-hour format. Thanks to this, the station is also a useful timepiece. In addition to the clock, there is also a calendar that tells you what day of the month and what day of the week it is. The names of the days of the week are available in seven languages (DE, EN, FR, IT, SP, DU and DA) and can be changed when setting the calendar.

Hello! Wake up!

The WS30 weather station also has an alarm clock function, so if you need to wake up early, just set the time you want the alarm to go off and sleep soundly. The alarm clock will go off automatically, and if you want to sleep even longer, turn on the snooze function and the alarm will be delayed by 5 minutes. The alarm clock has a sound that lasts 2 minutes - long enough to wake up even the most sleepy person. In addition, you can set different wake-up times on weekdays and different ones on weekends. The alarm clock can be used not only to wake you up - it can act as a reminder for some important things during the day that you don't want to miss.

LCD screen! Dim it as you like.

The WS30 weather station is equipped with a high-quality color LCD display that has a dimming function and no, it doesn't cheat, it just changes the brightness of the backlight and, importantly, it doesn't do it on its own. You decide when to dim the display to avoid glare or to make it more visible.

Will I have to scrape the car windows?

You will get the answer to this question before you leave the house, because the WS30BK weather station also has a frost point indicator. As soon as the measured outdoor temperature reaches the lower limit of 3°C, the device emits an acoustic signal and the corresponding graphic symbol appears on the display. When the temperature rises, the frost point indicator automatically switches off.

When it is too humid, mold and fungi can flourish, and an unpleasant odor can appear in the home. Excessive humidity can also cause damage to various electronic devices in your home. However, too dry air can negatively affect our health. Therefore, it is worth taking care to ensure the most suitable conditions, including the thermal comfort level indicator, which shows you on the WS30 weather station screen when the room is too dry, when it is too humid, and when the humidity is most optimal.

So hot here! So hot…

You know that feeling when you're hot and the radiator is still heating up like crazy? Or maybe you're still cold because you didn't turn on the heating. To monitor the right room temperature, you can set alarms in the WS30 weather station that will warn you when you've exceeded preset temperature ranges - both for the station's built-in sensor and for the outdoor sensor. Here's how it works: set a temperature range for the indoor sensor in the range of 19°C to 23°C and if the air warms up above or cools down below this range, an audible signal will sound and the corresponding icon will appear on the weather station's display. Such a reminder will help you avoid overheating or cooling the room - isn't it useful? You can also set limits for the outdoor sensor that will warn you when the outside temperatures are extremely low or high.

Is measuring with one sensor not enough?

No problem! The station supports up to three external sensors, so you can purchase two additional optional Blaupunkt ACC20WS sensors, set them to the appropriate channels (the sensors have 3 channels, switch manually) so that the signals do not interfere and place them wherever you want. Do you need to monitor the temperature and humidity in a bedroom, garage or home storage room? It couldn't be easier! Leave the sensor there and you can read the measured values on the display of the WS30BK weather station. With the LCD displays built into the optional ACC20WS sensors, you can also check the temperature and humidity values wherever you want to place them.

Power supply.

Connect the WS30BK weather station to the mains using the supplied 5 V, 1200 mA power supply, while the wireless outdoor sensor is powered by two supplied AA batteries. To ensure that the station saves its settings in the event of a power outage, you need to purchase a CR2032 button battery. The station can operate without it, but you will need to re-enter the appropriate settings after a power outage. In addition, there is a battery level indicator on the LCD screen with the outdoor sensor, so you know when the batteries are low and can replace them in time.

Standing or hanging?

The housing of the station is designed so that you can place the entire device on a table or windowsill, as well as hang it on the wall, as there is a hole for a hook on the back, and the power cable is located in a special housing so as not to interfere with the installation. The included wireless sensor also has a standing and hanging option. Remember to place the sensor where it will be protected from wind and rain and in the shade, without direct sunlight, which can negatively affect the readings of temperature and humidity values.
