Same summary

The Tefal First Class DB1612E0 travel iron is primarily intended for users who need to quickly and easily refresh their clothes while traveling or on vacation. The foldable handle and dual voltage make it easy to use abroad, and the compact size ensures that you can easily pack it in your luggage. Due to the smaller water tank capacity and lower power, it is not the most practical choice for those who regularly iron larger amounts of laundry at home, but it can be extremely convenient for short emergency repairs or ironing delicate fabrics while traveling. For frequent home use or for ironing larger amounts of laundry, classic models with greater power and capacity are more suitable.

Answers to frequently asked questions

Is a travel iron also suitable for daily ironing of larger amounts of laundry?

Travel irons are primarily intended for occasional use on the go or for quickly ironing small amounts of clothing. For daily ironing of larger amounts of laundry, it is recommended to choose a classic or steam iron with more power and a larger water tank.

Can I use my travel iron in different countries with different voltages?

Yes, this model supports dual voltage, so it is suitable for use in both Europe and countries with different electrical standards, just with the appropriate plug.

What can I do if my iron is getting limescale?

For travel irons, we recommend using softened water or regularly emptying the tank after use. In areas with hard water, more frequent cleaning is recommended; detailed advice can be found in our ironing station maintenance guide .

How long can I iron continuously with a travel iron?

Due to the smaller capacity of the water tank, the continuous ironing time is limited - it is usually enough to iron a few pieces of clothing, after which the tank needs to be refilled.

Is this model suitable for ironing delicate fabrics?

Due to its moderate power and the possibility of using steam, it is suitable for most common materials, but always check the label on the garment before ironing and use a lower temperature if necessary.
