High-quality compass with a movable head for school and technical drawing. The drawing tip is high-quality graphite and is easily attached with an adjustment screw. The compass is 128 mm long and has a movable head for precise and smooth radius adjustment and a safety tip clamped at an obtuse angle. The largest circle that can be drawn is 340 mm. Drawing tips are included. Packed in a plastic transparent case.

It is important to know

When choosing a compass for business use, it is crucial to understand the relationship between the stability of the construction and the complexity of the work tasks. Although school models are sufficient for basic use, for repeatable accuracy in technical and regular use, additional attention to design and quick adjustment capabilities is recommended. Before purchasing, assess whether the selected model allows for easy and reliable use based on your typical tasks.

• The plastic version of the compass is more suitable for occasional or less demanding office use, as it provides basic functionality, but does not offer the same stability as a metal frame during intensive use.
• For tasks where precision is important, pay attention to the radius adjustment system – simple mechanisms can limit the repeatability of results for very complex drawings.
• Work speed and efficiency may be limited if changing a pencil or nib requires multiple steps; for occasional use, this aspect is rarely a major obstacle.

In practice

🟢 Drawing basic circles and arcs

The product is very suitable for basic office or school tasks where there are no requirements for maximum accuracy or robustness.

🟡 Technical drawings and projects

Suitable with limitations, as the plastic frame may reduce stability when drawing very precisely or in more frequent use where repeatability of results is required.

🟡 Frequent office use

Suitable with limitations - the basic models allow for efficient work in rare use, but for long-term daily work, a more robust version is recommended.

🔴 Intensive professional use

Less suitable because basic plastic models are generally not intended for continuous use in environments where extreme precision and long life are required.

Answers to frequently asked questions

Is a compass suitable for technical drawing plans in architecture or engineering?

For basic sketches yes, but for detailed technical plans a model with a more robust and stable frame is recommended.

Is changing the pencil or nib difficult?

The change is not particularly difficult, but with a large number of consecutive drawings it may take a little longer than with higher models with fast mechanisms.

How does the plastic frame feel when working?

The plastic design allows for easier handling and lower overall weight, but does not achieve the same stability as metal models during intensive use.
