The Sony WH-CH730N wireless headphones provide flexible listening for everyday use, combining Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) with Ambient Sound mode to help you stay focused or aware of your surroundings. Beamforming microphones, Precise Voice Pickup technology and wind reduction help maintain clear calls on the go and at home, while Bluetooth 6.0 and multipoint connectivity make it easy to switch between devices; the headphones also work wired via a 3.5mm jack. The foldable, adjustable design with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and USB-C charging provides portable convenience, and the ear cups contain 30% recycled plastic, a more sustainable choice.

It is important to know

When choosing wireless over-ear headphones like the Sony WH-CH735, the main decision is to balance comfort, functionality, and portability. The foldable design and ANC offer advantages for on-the-go use, but this type of headphone also comes with some trade-offs that aren't obvious from the specs. It's advisable to pay attention to your daily needs and expected usage environment, as these factors can greatly impact the experience.

• Multipoint connectivity allows for quick switching between devices, but to take full advantage, it is recommended that you are familiar with supported devices and operating systems.
• The foldable design makes it easy to store and transport, but it does mean a slightly larger volume compared to smaller models – consider this if you often carry headphones in your bag.
• ANC significantly improves listening comfort in noisy environments, but it can affect battery life; if you use this feature frequently, expect slightly shorter battery life between charges.
• The over-ear design is usually more comfortable for hours of use, but this style is not the most practical for sports or exercise.
• Bluetooth connectivity allows for greater freedom of movement, but it's a good idea to check compatibility and any limitations on additional features on different platforms.

In practice

🟢 Daily music listening and calls

The Sony WH-CH735 are very suitable for multimedia use at home and on the go, as they combine comfortable wearing, good sound insulation and a high-quality connection for calls or streaming.

🟢 Working in an open office or noisy environment

Thanks to ANC and an over-ear design, these headphones effectively reduce distracting ambient noise, increasing productivity and focus at work.

🟡 Travel, public transport

ANC helps make the experience on the go more enjoyable, but due to the size of the headphones, portability is not the same as with more compact models – consider the available space in your luggage.

🔴 Sports, running, fitness

Due to their size and design, they are not best suited for activities where stability and sweat resistance are key.

🟡 Connection to multiple devices at the same time

Multipoint Bluetooth allows for convenient switching, but there may be limitations between some systems and devices, so check support before use.
