    Does it work without an internet connection?

    The sensor communicates with your control panel via the Zigbee protocol and for basic operation (opening/closing notifications), the presence of the internet is not a requirement if your Zigbee control panel has local connectivity.

    Where is the ideal place to install a sensor on a window or door?

    The sensor is best placed on the edge of the door or window and opposite, on the frame, so that when opening or closing, the magnet and sensor separate and trigger detection.
