It is important to know

Before purchasing the CATLINK FRESH 2 LUX smart feeder, it is worth considering whether you really need remote control and the ability to set a more precise feeding schedule. The key considerations are not always the technology itself, but rather how the system fits into your cat care and daily routine. Often, specific features such as volume and portioning method are more important than many advanced features.

• Smart features like remote control are only really practical if you're often away from home and want to check or set up feedings via an app.
• The amount of food space is key – a 2-liter capacity works well for one or two cats, but with multiple animals, you need to monitor whether sharing food will become a challenge.
• The model is particularly suitable for users who want to have more control over meal frequency and size, e.g. due to special diets or a desire for better weight control.
• A greater emphasis on technology usually means a little less straightforward simplicity – consider whether you or your family likes to use apps and smart devices before you buy.

In practice

🟢 Regular time feeding

Very convenient - it allows automatic food dispensing according to a pre-set schedule, so your cat can be served regularly even when you are away.

🟡 Portioned feeding during diets

Suitable with limitations – the system allows for portion setting, but only has one outlet, meaning there is no separate dosing for multiple animals.

🟢 Remote feeding management

Very convenient – the app allows you to monitor and set schedules and check available food anywhere.

🟡 Feeding multiple cats in the same household

Suitable with limitations – suitable for 1 to 2 cats, but in the case of multiple cats, it is not possible to measure portions separately, so competition may be present.

🔴 Basic use without the app

Less suitable – the device focuses on smart features, for users who only want the simplest setup or don't need an app, a more basic model might be more suitable.

Answers to frequently asked questions

Is the dispenser suitable for a larger household with multiple cats?
