Same summary

This Ubiquiti Unifi IP camera with high 8 MP resolution and WiFi support is suitable for users who want to monitor the exterior of their home or the surroundings in detail and appreciate easy installation without unnecessary cables. Power supply via PoE or batteries allows for flexible placement, especially where there is no classic electrical connection. The camera is suitable for those who expect clear images when monitoring driveways, yards or entrances, but is not optimal for environments with a very unstable wireless signal. It is recommended to check the actual WiFi network coverage at the installation site, as the stability of the connection significantly affects the reliability of operation.

Answers to frequently asked questions

Is this camera suitable for use in all weather conditions outdoors?

The Ubiquiti Unifi model is designed for outdoor use, but before installation we recommend checking the official water and dust resistance and considering the placement to protect the camera from extreme weather conditions where possible.

How difficult is it to connect the camera to a WiFi network?

Connecting to a WiFi network is usually easy if the signal is strong enough at the installation location. In case of a weaker signal, the image transmission may be interrupted, so it is recommended to check the network strength at the desired location beforehand.

Does the camera support remote viewing of recordings via a mobile app?

Yes, WiFi support and management options allow you to view live images or view recorded events remotely via a mobile app. This way, you stay informed even when you are away from home.

What do I need to consider regarding power supply – PoE or battery?

The camera offers flexibility in power supply; PoE is suitable where a wired connection is possible, while batteries allow installation in places without access to a power outlet. In case of frequent use or continuous recording, it is recommended to consider power supply via PoE for greater reliability and less maintenance.
