Same summary

The ZOWIE by BenQ XL2546X+ monitor will be most effective in games where speed is key. With its 280 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time, it is specifically aimed at demanding gamers and e-sports users who are looking for the smoothest possible image and complete control in fast-paced action. Due to the TN panel, color accuracy and wide viewing angles are slightly behind IPS models, so this monitor is not the best choice for working with graphics or for everyday office work where eye comfort and true colors are important. Its strength lies in speed and responsiveness, while the compromise in display quality outweighs those for whom competitive gaming is key.

Answers to frequently asked questions

What type of use does this monitor make the most sense for?

The monitor is designed primarily for competitive gaming and e-sports, where fast, smooth images and minimal latency are paramount. In such scenarios, its high refresh rate and responsiveness are a clear advantage.

Is a TN panel suitable for everyday office work or watching movies?

TN panels are fast, but they lag behind IPS models in terms of eye comfort, color accuracy, and viewing angles. For long-term office work or a rich movie experience, an IPS or VA monitor may be a more sensible choice, which we also explain further in our guide to choosing a monitor size and type .

Is this monitor suitable for use in a dual setup?

Yes, its size and shape allow for effective use in pairs, especially in gaming setups where the secondary display complements the main gaming surface. However, when using a dual setup, be sure to pay attention to uniform resolution and connectivity.

What does high refresh rate mean in gaming?

A higher refresh rate (e.g. 280 Hz) allows for smoother display of fast movements and faster response, which is important for gamers who compete or play dynamic games (FPS, e-sports).

Who should avoid buying this model?

Users who primarily expect authentic color reproduction, wide viewing angles, and multitasking with text will be more satisfied with models that use IPS or VA panels.
