Same summary

The MSI MAG 244C monitor with a curved 23.6-inch FHD screen is primarily intended for users who want a compromise between casual gaming and everyday use at home or in the office. Due to the high refresh rate of 180 Hz and fast response time, the monitor is particularly suitable for a smoother experience in dynamic games and fast work with multiple windows, although the VA panel does not deliver as vivid color displays as typical IPS monitors. For longer use for working with texts or documents, it is worth noting that the FHD resolution at this diagonal is usually sufficient, but for anyone looking for the sharpest display of details or advanced color accuracy for professional graphics work, the combination will be more suitable for basic or multi-purpose use.

Answers to frequently asked questions

Is this monitor suitable for professional graphics work?

The MSI MAG 244C monitor is not primarily intended for professional photo or video editing, as the VA panel does not achieve the highest color accuracy; however, it is suitable for general tasks, entertainment, and gaming.

What is the difference between a curved and a flat monitor at this size?

A curved monitor offers a more immersive experience for gaming and entertainment, especially with a relatively narrow diagonal of up to 24 inches, and the curvature is especially noticeable during prolonged use or multitasking.

Is FHD resolution enough for text work and studying?

For most office work, studying, and web browsing, Full HD resolution on a 23.6-inch display is perfectly adequate; however, if you often work with very fine text or require extreme sharpness, you may want to consider a higher resolution. For more information, see our guide to choosing a monitor by purpose .

Is this monitor suitable for a dual-screen setup?

Yes, due to its size and connections, the MSI MAG 244C is a suitable choice for a dual setup, but it is recommended that both monitors have the same resolution and similar diagonal for a more uniform user experience.

Is this model suitable for all-day office work?

Due to its high refresh rate and basic resolution, the monitor is suitable for short and medium-long workdays, but for all-day use, we recommend paying attention to the ergonomics of the setup and possibly upgrading with eye protection features if you need it.
