The BenQ EW3290U is a 31.5-inch 4K UHD IPS monitor designed for work and multimedia. It offers exceptional image sharpness, HDR support, USB-C connectivity with power, built-in speakers, and an ergonomic stand with height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustment. Eye-Care technologies ensure comfortable use even during long work sessions.

It is important to know

When choosing a larger 4K monitor like the Benq EW3290U, the biggest practical challenge is balancing screen size, resolution, and available desk space. Users often overlook the importance of a single-cable USB-C connection and laptop charging, as well as the ergonomics of the setup for extended use. Before purchasing, it makes sense to thoroughly evaluate the connection method, setup options, and intended use, as these significantly impact the daily experience.

• Although the 32-inch diagonal and 4K resolution allow for multiple open windows and an extremely sharp image, such a monitor requires a sufficiently deep desk; with a shallow desk, the viewing distance can become uncomfortable.
• The monitor allows you to easily connect and charge your laptop via USB-C (up to 65W); make sure your laptop supports video output and adequate charging power via USB-C.
• Built-in speakers are a bonus for basic use, but for high-quality sound when working with multimedia or video conferencing, we recommend using external speakers or headphones.
• An adjustable stand with height adjustment is important for ergonomic positioning, especially for long-term use; also check compatibility with any monitor arms for even more flexibility.
• The monitor has good color coverage and an IPS matrix, which is an advantage for working with content where accurate color reproduction is important (photo editing, graphic design), but it is not optimized for the extremely fast response time that competitive gamers need.

In practice

🟢 Multitasking and working with multiple windows

4K resolution and a large surface area allow you to work with multiple documents, spreadsheets or windows at the same time - practical for business use and analytics.

🟢 Single-cable setup with USB-C

The USB-C connection allows image, data, and power transfer with just one cable for supported laptops, greatly simplifying the workspace.

🟢 Photo editing, graphic design and video

The IPS panel and high color coverage are suitable for basic to advanced image processing and office-intensive visual work; HDR further improves contrast display.

🟡 Gaming and entertainment

Suitable for occasional gaming and entertainment due to the large screen and good picture; however, it is not optimized for the fastest reactions or high refresh rates that demanding gamers expect.

🟡 Use on shallow or smaller tables

A large 32-inch screen can be tiring on the eyes and neck at a short distance; use on a sufficiently deep table or an additionally adjustable stand is recommended.

🟢 Hybrid work and connecting multiple devices

The USB hub function and various inputs allow for convenient switching between multiple devices (laptop, desktop computer), suitable for a modern office environment or working from home.
