The KNIPEX Cobra 00 19 55 S5 set consists of five high-quality water pump pliers with lengths from 125 to 300 mm. The KNIPEX Cobra are the legendary high-tech water pump pliers from the KNIPEX brand. With their extremely strong self-clamping effect, they enable energy-saving work without slipping off the workpiece. They can be easily adjusted at the push of a button and are therefore optimally adapted to different workpiece sizes. The specially hardened teeth on the gripping surfaces ensure a stable grip. The hardness is approx. 61 HRC. The integrated pinch protection protects the user from crushing. Forged and oil-hardened from chrome vanadium electrical steel, the pliers are particularly robust.

It is important to know

The Knipex 001955S5 Water Pump Pliers Set is a sensible purchase for users who do not already have any similar tools or who want to cover several scenarios in the house, workshop or plumbing with one set. Those who want to have pliers of different sizes on hand for gripping pipes and fittings without much thought will benefit the most - but it is important to know that the set is not a replacement for special pliers for special tasks. Before buying, it is a good idea to check whether you really need all the dimensions or if one individual pliers would be enough.

• The set brings versatility, but it is not the best choice if you often do only one type of task - in such a case, it makes sense to buy individual pliers of the appropriate length.
• For more precise or electrical work, water pump pliers are usually too large and less suitable for finer work.
• The longer pliers from the set are useful for greater leverage, while the shorter ones allow for better control in more confined spaces.
• The kit is suitable for a home workshop or as basic equipment for beginners who want to cover the widest possible range of plumbing and general maintenance work.

Answers to frequently asked questions

Is the set also suitable for electrical work?

The set is not specifically intended for electrical work, as the pliers are not insulated for working under voltage.

Can all the pliers in the set grip different pipe sizes?

Since it is a set of different sizes, the most common pipe and fitting dimensions are covered, but it is always recommended to choose the length that best suits the specific task.

Are the pliers handles suitable for prolonged work?

The handles are designed for a good grip, but prolonged use can cause fatigue - for frequent or professional use, you should consider more ergonomically designed models.

Does the set make sense if I already have one plumber's pliers?

A set makes more sense if you often need different sizes of pliers or work on several different types of joints; otherwise, one quality pair of pliers of the appropriate length may be enough.
