The Einhell GC-CH 18/40 cordless hedge trimmer is ideal for consumers looking for cordless freedom and easy trimming. With 18V power, it is comfortable to use, and the high-quality blades ensure precise cuts on hedges of 30-40 cm in length. It is characterized by performance, ease of use and an ergonomic design without unnecessary accessories.

The small, handy cordless hedge trimmer GC-CH 18/40 Li - Solo from Einhella is a powerful member of the Power X-Change family and a valuable helper in the garden. At only 2 kg, it is the lightest of the hedge trimmers and is therefore also suitable for longer work. The blades made of laser-cut and diamond-ground steel are precise and durable, with a cutting length of 40 cm at up to 2400 cuts per minute. With the compact hedge trimmer, you can trim bushes, hedges and shrubs beautifully, completely cordless. The cordless hedge trimmer can be optimally operated with the large front handle, while the large hand guard protects against injuries. The robust metal gear ensures a long service life. The aluminum blade cover protects the blades, and the robust sleeve protects them during storage and safe transport. The scope of delivery includes an impact protection with a wall mounting bracket, but without batteries and without charger. To operate the GC-CH 18/40 Li cordless hedge trimmer, a separate 18-volt battery from the Power X-Change series is required, which is also used in other Einhell tools and garden equipment.

Same summary

The Einhell GC-CH 18/40 cordless hedge trimmer is particularly suitable for regular maintenance and shaping of small to medium-sized hedges and bushes around the house or garden. Thanks to the 30-40 cm long blade and 18 V voltage, users who already have a compatible Einhell battery system will enjoy practical and flexible use without the restriction of cables. The tool is not suitable for trimming particularly dense or very thick branches, especially if you do not yet have the right battery or need a particularly long continuous working time. The model does not include a battery and charger, so it is a better choice for those who already have or plan to use other devices from the same brand ecosystem.

User view

Most users of this type of cordless hedge trimmer expect quick and easy hedge trimming without the hassle of searching for an electrical outlet. Young families, homeowners with less demanding hedges and garden enthusiasts appreciate the lighter and ergonomic design of the tool, as it allows efficient work, even if they do not have much experience with garden tools. Those who already use other Einhell devices can also use the same battery with these trimmers, which further simplifies garden maintenance and reduces the need for multiple batteries.

The reliability of the Einhell brand is often the reason why users stay in their cordless ecosystem when choosing garden tools.

What do I need besides scissors to use this model?

In addition to the scissors, you need a dedicated 18 V Einhell battery and a compatible charger, as these are not included in the kit.

What types of hedges are these shears best suited for?

They work best for small and medium-sized hedges with branches that are not too thick, and for shaping decorative shrubs.

Can I use the battery from other Einhell tools for these scissors?

Yes, if you have an 18 V Einhell battery, you can also use it with this model and thus make even better use of the brand's ecosystem.

What should I consider when choosing a cordless hedge trimmer for larger hedges?

For larger or very dense hedges, check the blade length, voltage and blade spacing information – for more demanding tasks you may need a more powerful model or a larger battery.
