It is important to know

Before purchasing the DJI Mini 5 Pro ND Filters Set (8/32/128), it is worth considering how and in what lighting conditions you most often use your drone. Neutral density filters allow you to better adjust image capture in different ambient light conditions, but they provide optimal results mainly in more demanding shooting situations. Before using, it is recommended to consider whether all the included filters will really suit your shooting style.

• This set of ND filters is especially useful if you regularly shoot outdoors at different times of the day where the light can change quickly. If you shoot primarily in the same lighting conditions, you may find yourself using only one of the filters frequently.
• Setting up the appropriate ND filter before a flight requires some preparation, as changing the filter is recommended before takeoff, not during the flight. This means you will need some experience in assessing the lighting conditions.
• The kit offers three different density levels, but does not include intermediate values such as ND16 or ND64, so in certain lighting conditions you may need a combination of other filters or a compromise in shooting parameters.
• Filters increase creative possibilities in video and photography, especially when you want to achieve more natural motion blur or balance exposure in very bright light.

In practice

🟢 Use in strong sunlight

The set allows you to record and photograph even in very bright conditions without losing detail due to overexposure, as it includes high-density filters (ND32, ND128).

🟡 Shooting in moderate light

The kit covers the basic need, but some users would miss the missing ND16 intermediate filter - in certain situations, exposure settings need to be adjusted.

🟢 Creative use of motion blur

ND filters allow you to achieve more natural motion effects in video, which is especially important for a more professional look to your footage.

🔴 Shooting in low light conditions

Using these filters in cloudy or shady conditions can result in an overly dark result – in which case it is usually better to shoot without an ND filter.

Answers to frequently asked questions

Are these ND filters compatible with other drone models?

The kit is designed for the DJI Mini 5 Pro and compatibility with other models is not guaranteed.

Can I change the filter during the flight?

It is recommended to replace the filter on the ground before takeoff, as changing it during flight is not feasible.

What lighting conditions do the included ND filter steps cover?

ND8 is used for lower light or light cloudiness, while ND32 and ND128 are for very strong sun or snowy scenes.

Does using an ND filter affect the sharpness or colors of the images?

High-quality ND filters have minimal impact on sharpness and color balance, but it is recommended to check the results with each filter.
