The tool is stored in a practical metaBox case, which makes it easy to carry and store neatly.

Evaluation of key product features

⚖️ Compare features with other products of your choice

Cordless operation is essential for field work, allowing you to quickly finish edges even where there is no power connection. This router is designed for reliable guidance along panel edges and precise profiles, which is important when making furniture, finishing installations in the home workshop or renovating interiors. When working with different materials, the brushless motor provides constant power, making the tool suitable for both softer and harder types of wood, composites or even plastics.

The 18 V power in practice means a good balance between performance and autonomy, which makes it easier to do both short finishing touches and longer work without interruptions due to battery charging. Since the battery is replaceable (not included), users of the Metabo cordless system can also use the same battery for other tools in the same system. This increases practicality and flexibility of use in different projects.

The edge router fits comfortably in the hand thanks to its compact dimensions and ergonomic grip, which allows even inexperienced users to work precisely. The included metaBox case helps keep the set organized and protected during transport or storage, so the tool is always ready when you need it. Combining efficiency and portability, it is suitable for assembly work, home projects and use in a small craft workshop.

It is important to know

The Metabo FMV 18 LTX BL 8 cordless edger is designed for users who need flexibility and mobility when working with wood or plastic in different locations. It will be most useful for those who often carry out small details and finishing work and want comfortable and fast handling without a cable. Before buying, consider whether the included battery and charger and the 18 V capacity are suitable for your projects and usage.

• No battery and charger included - you need an existing compatible Metabo battery or purchase separately.
• Cordless mobility allows for quick use in the field, but working for the longest time without an additional battery can limit autonomy.
• The brushless motor reduces the need for maintenance, but it is most beneficial for those who use the tool regularly or for long periods of time.
• The cordless model is more suitable for less demanding tasks; for intensive or long-term milling in harder materials, it may be limited by power and operating time.
• Accuracy in detail also depends on guides and accessories, which are not necessarily included with every model.
