Clairfontaine Paint On notepad, A5, 20 sheets, 250 g, black paper

Suitable for sketching and presentations. Block for technical and artistic use.

The black paper drawing pad is intended for business users for sketching, technical drafts, and visual presentations in the office or in the field.

    • Practical A5 format for portable sketches and notes.
    • Black paper emphasizes contrasts and allows you to work with different media.
    • Suitable for preparing presentation materials and plans.
    • Harder paper ensures durability when painting and drawing.

The darkest colour of the Paint'On series of glued sketchbooks with a black tint, the massively coloured paper will offer plenty of contrasts in a variety of techniques. Its thickness makes it well suited for mixed media such as pencil, charcoal, pastel, felt-tip pen, ink, marker and gouache. Its fine grain allows for a variety of styles and tools to achieve a beautiful depth that will enhance your brightly coloured creations. The paper is acid-free and PEFC certified. The sketchbook contains 20 sheets of A5 250g paper.

    It is important to know

When choosing a drawing pad for business creation on black paper, it is crucial to understand whether its design suits the usage and type of projects in your environment. Particular attention should be paid to suitability for different techniques and the impact of the format on presentation or sketching possibilities.

    • Black paper is not suitable for all art techniques - it often looks best when using bright colors, gel pens, metallic markers, or high-contrast crayons.
    • The A5 format allows for easy portability and quick sketching, but is not optimal for larger presentations or projects where a larger surface area is needed.
    • In smaller business groups or creative workshops, 20 sheets are enough for shorter tasks or prototyping - for a larger number of users, check the sufficiency of the quantity.
    • Heavier paper, such as 250g, offers a more stable base for more demanding color applications, but may require appropriate selection of color media to get the best results.

    In practice

    🟢 Sketching with contrasting pens

Very suitable - black paper and high-quality grammage allow for outstanding drawings with glitter markers, white pastels or gel pens.

🟡 Technical drawing with classic pencils

Suitable with limitations - drawing with a classic gray pencil or graphite will be poorly visible on black paper, it is necessary to use lighter drawing materials.

🟡 Using watercolor or wet techniques

Suitable with limitations – thicker paper is stable, but dark color can greatly change the final appearance of watercolor or transparent media.

🟢 Preparing visual prototypes in meetings

Very suitable - the smaller format and number of sheets are practical for quickly presenting basic concepts in business meetings or brainstorming.

🔴 Preparation of larger visual boards and collages

Less suitable – A5 format and limited number of sheets are not suitable for projects where large surface area is crucial.

    Answers to frequently asked questions

Is the paper in the pad suitable for markers with glitter or metallic effects?

Yes, black paper especially highlights glitter markers or metallic sheen and other high-contrast colors.

What limits the use of blockchain for larger projects?

The smaller A5 format and 20 sheets pose a barrier for larger presentations or plans where a larger drawing surface is needed.

Can I use pencils on this paper?

It is technically possible, but lighter pencils and pens are more visible; a classic graphite pencil is less visible on a black background.

How suitable is this block for group creative workshops?

For smaller groups, 20 sheets are enough, but for larger groups, we recommend multiple sets due to quantity limitations.
