Clairefontaine Pastelmat block n°3, 24 x 30 cm, 12 sheets, 360 g
The Pastelmat n°3 drawing pad is intended for business users for sketching, technical drawings, illustrations and preparing presentation materials.
- The stable base allows for precise strokes and repeatable results.
- Suitable for working with pastels, chalk and various dry techniques.
- A suitable format for visual presentations and project work.
- High-quality paper prevents punctures and deformation during intensive use.
The 24 x 30 cm Pastelmat pad contains 12 sheets of high-quality 360 g/m2 paper, specially designed for pastel techniques. Its unique surface provides excellent adhesion to pastels, reduces the need for fixing and allows multiple layers to be applied without saturating the paper. Set N°3 includes 12 sheets in white. The paper is glued on one side, allowing easy removal of the sheets without damage. It is ideal for dry pastel, pencil, charcoal and other dry techniques.
It is important to know
Before deciding on the Clairefontaine Pastelmat n°3 pad, it is essential to assess whether the paper and format are suitable for the actual use, especially for commercial or creative projects where the quality of the material, the repeatability of the results and the order of preparation are important for the workflow. It is also important to consider the purchasing requirements in terms of quantity and purpose in a wider business environment, for example in workshops or team creation. Check whether the pad is suitable for the techniques and quantity you need.
- The thickness of the paper and the surface allow for a variety of drawing and painting techniques, but consider whether the A4 format is large enough for your presentations or plans.
- The versatility of a block is an advantage for many different creative tasks, but greater versatility often means that a single solution is not fully specialized for highly demanding professional tasks.
- The package contains a limited number of sheets (12), which is suitable for smaller projects or individual presentations; for larger teams or many prototypes, it may be worth considering multiple pieces or extra supplies.
- When deciding on this type of paper, pay attention to whether its surface is suitable for the chosen technique (dry or wet media); any inadequacy may affect the long-term durability and appearance of the final result.

In practice
🟢 Technical drawing and sketching
The block offers a sufficiently stable surface and structure for precise drawing with pencils, charcoal or crayons, which is suitable for preparing project drafts or plans.
🟢 Art and illustration
The paper's suitability for pastel and other dry media makes it suitable for artistic creation in business or educational settings.
🟡 Group creation or workshops
The amount of sheets is sufficient for smaller groups or shorter workshops, but larger teams will need more blocks.
🟡 Visual presentations and prototyping
The format allows for the preparation of presentation materials, but is limited to documents up to 24 × 30 cm; for larger billboards or visual displays, consider a larger format.
🔴 Use for techniques with high humidity
It is not optimal for watercolor or techniques where a large amount of water is used, as the characteristics of the paper are not adapted to intensely wet media.
Answers to frequently asked questions
What creative techniques is this block suitable for?
The block is particularly suitable for working with pastels, charcoal, crayons and pencils.
Is A4 (24 × 30 cm) large enough for business presentations?
It is sufficient for most standard presentations in a business environment, but for larger billboards we recommend considering a larger format.
What does the surface structure of paper mean for everyday use?
The special surface allows good adhesion of pigments, which extends the durability of the color and reduces smudging.
Is the block suitable for collective use in workshops?
It is enough for smaller groups, but larger groups may require an additional purchase, as there are 12 sheets in the pad.
Is it possible to apply wet techniques (e.g. watercolor) to this paper?
The paper is not optimized for techniques with a lot of water, so we recommend caution or a different type of paper when using wet media.
