Answers to frequently asked questions

Can I also chop ice or harder vegetables like carrots in this chopper?

The Tefal Choppeo XXL chopper is a great choice for common vegetables, nuts and fruits. For harder ingredients such as ice or raw carrots, we recommend cutting them into smaller pieces before processing and avoiding quantities exceeding the recommended capacity to avoid overloading the appliance.

Which materials come into contact with food and are they dishwasher safe?

The bowl and blades of this model are made of high-quality materials intended for contact with food. Most parts, such as the bowl and lid, are usually dishwasher safe, but we recommend washing the more delicate blades by hand for a longer life.

Is the chopper suitable for making baby food or hummus?

Yes, thanks to its spacious bowl and efficient blade, it is suitable for both creamy spreads and smooth purees. For desired textures, you can adjust the amount or duration of chopping to your taste.

How loud is the device during use and does it disturb others in the room?

The chopper is one of the quieter appliances in its class, but is usually a bit louder when processing harder ingredients - the volume is comparable to other household chopper machines.
