The Bosch GBA 18V 4.0/2.0Ah + GAL 18V-40 Professional battery and charger set is a practical solution for anyone who uses professional or amateur cordless tools from the Bosch 18V family. The set includes two different lithium-ion batteries and a fast charging station, so it is intended for users who need continuous work without unnecessary interruptions due to a flat battery.

The set is best suited for DIYers, craftsmen, gardeners or anyone who performs various tasks in the garden, construction site or home workshop. The main advantage of the set is the flexibility in powering the tools, as with two batteries of different capacities it allows for alternating use and charging, which reduces downtime and increases productivity.

Evaluation of key product features

⚖️ Compare features with other products of your choice

In practice, the combination of 18-volt batteries and a fast charger means that you can use almost all Bosch tools from the AMPShare 18V system without unnecessary waiting, as one battery powers the tool while the other charges quickly. The 4.0 Ah battery is suitable for longer tasks with high energy consumption, such as drilling into thicker materials or sawing, while the 2.0 Ah is lighter and convenient for less demanding tasks or for tools where weight is important, such as drills or screwdrivers.

Lithium-ion technology provides reliable power without self-discharge or memory effect, meaning the batteries are ready to use even after extended periods of inactivity. The built-in LED indicator accurately shows the remaining capacity, so you can plan your work more easily and avoid unexpected interruptions.

The GAL 18V-40 Professional fast charger allows significantly faster battery charging compared to basic models, further speeding up the work process. Compatibility with the AMPShare Alliance system means that the batteries can also be used with tools from other manufacturers that are included in this platform, increasing their value in everyday use.

It is important to know

This set is particularly useful for users who want more independence with their cordless tools and value quick changes without long interruptions. It is suitable for both beginners in the Bosch 18V platform and those who already have a few tools in this voltage class. Before purchasing, we recommend that you check the compatibility with your device and consider whether the combination of capacities offered is suitable for you based on the frequency and complexity of the tasks.

• A kit with two different batteries (4.0 and 2.0 Ah) allows for more flexible use, but means that the differences in usage time between individual batteries will be significant.
• Fast charging is key in practice to never wait, but the charging time for a larger battery is longer than for a smaller one - it can affect the rhythm of work during intensive use.
• System compatibility (AMPShare Alliance) covers Bosch 18V tools, but does not mean universal interchangeability with other brands - the tool platform must be checked.
• The lighter weight of the 2.0 Ah battery is an advantage for long-term overhead work, while the larger 4.0 Ah battery offers longer autonomy but slightly increases the weight of the tool.
