Same summary

The Audio-Technica ATH-M20X headphones, thanks to their over-ear design, are particularly suitable for users who value comfort during extended listening sessions and clear, balanced sound without additional sound accents. Wired connectivity ensures reliable sound transmission without delay, so these headphones can also be used for basic home production or sound monitoring where accuracy is important. Due to the absence of active noise cancellation and microphones, they are somewhat less suitable for everyday phone conversations or use in very noisy environments. The special feature of these headphones is the simplicity and fidelity of reproduction, which suits those who want to hear music as it was recorded.

Answers to frequently asked questions

Are the Audio-Technica ATH-M20X headphones suitable for studio work?

The ATH-M20X model is often chosen for basic recording, sound monitoring, or ear training in a home or school studio due to its neutral and balanced sound, but it is not intended for demanding professional productions, where even higher specifications may be required.

How comfortable are the headphones to wear for extended periods of time?

The over-ear design and soft cushions allow for comfortable use for several hours at a time, but users with larger ears should be aware of the possibility of pressure during very long use.

Can these headphones be used with a mobile phone?

Thanks to the standard 3.5mm connector, the ATH-M20X are compatible with most devices that support wired headphones, although new smartphones sometimes require an appropriate adapter.

Are the ATH-M20X suitable for traveling or working on the go?

The ATH-M20X isn't specifically designed for portability or on-the-go use, as it's larger, lacks active noise cancellation, and is wired. If you're looking for solutions for different environments, you can check out our headphone selection guide for more options.

What about maintaining and cleaning the pads?

It is recommended to gently wipe the pads with a slightly damp cloth; if used frequently in warm or humid rooms, pay special attention to regular cleaning to prevent the formation of unpleasant odors.
