Aqara Multi-State Sensor P100 Kit, white

For basic home automation Requires a control panel to operate Multiple functions in one device

The multi-purpose sensor is intended for users who want to easily monitor what is happening in their home and trigger basic automations via a smart control panel.

  • It allows you to detect movement, door opening or other events for security and convenience.
  • Connection to the smart home ecosystem for notifications and custom scenarios.
  • Suitable for monitoring rooms without the need for multiple different devices.
  • Easy system expansion by connecting multiple sensors for wider coverage.

One sensor, two modes for different needs

The Aqara Multi-State Sensor P100 is designed with flexibility in mind and allows you to choose between two operating modes , depending on how and where you want to use it.

  • Tracking items

  • Opening/closing monitoring

* Object monitoring mode is only available when using the Zigbee protocol (Aqara hub required) and via the Aqara Home app. The product currently does not support adding devices via Camera Hub G5 Pro, Camera G4 Pro, Camera Hub G350, or Camera Hub G410.
**You can switch your hub between both modes, but only one mode can be active at a time.
*** The P100 sensor is intended for indoor use only and should not be directly exposed to rain.

Comprehensive object monitoring with instant alerts

In object tracking mode (available only via Zigbee protocol with Aqara hub), the P100 sensor can detect movement, tilt, vibration, and fall in 3D space , while also monitoring the orientation or position of the object (facing up or down).

When it detects a change, the P100 triggers an alarm via the hub and sends a notification to the app so you can respond quickly.

Detects:

  • orientation,

  • moving,

  • fall,

  • vibrations,

  • slope,

  • triple touch.

Complete control over what you monitor

Instead of monitoring all events, you can choose only specific events, such as movement or fall , that suit your needs. This reduces unnecessary notifications while also extending battery life.

Opening/closing monitoring to detect unauthorized access

The P100 sensor accurately detects every opening and closing and provides you with real-time information about the status of your doors and windows.

From classic swing doors to various types of windows – the sensor works with common household doors and windows, and can also be used on refrigerators, safes and other objects that open and close .

It is suitable for:

  • swing doors,

  • casement windows,

  • tilt windows,

  • combined windows.

* The mode detects the opening and closing of doors or windows based on the change in rotation angle and does not support sliding doors/windows, roller shutters, garage doors, 360-degree rotating doors, and drawers. It is recommended to use the "Object Tracking" mode and detection based on movement or tilt to detect these.

One-piece design for easier installation

With traditional sensors, two separate parts must be precisely aligned to within a few millimeters. With the P100, you simply remove it from the mount and attach it to almost any surface . This makes installation easier and the choice of location much more flexible.

A simple sensor with countless application possibilities

In object monitoring mode (Aqara hub required), you can place the sensor practically anywhere according to your needs.

Mail detection
It detects vibrations or changes in the tilt of your mailbox when mail or packages are delivered, so you know immediately when something arrives.

Access to drawers
It detects movement when the drawer position changes and allows access monitoring. It can also be used as a safe or jewelry box.

Monitoring medication intake
It detects movement or tilt of the medication box, helping to monitor whether medication has been taken and prevent missed or double doses.

Care for children and the elderly
It detects an unexpected tilt or fall of a crib, bed rail, walker or wheelchair and warns you in time.

Pet feeding monitoring
It detects the tilt or movement of the food bowl and helps track when your pet has been fed and prevent overfeeding.

Protection against tampering
It detects strong vibrations due to glass breaking or tampering with an object and provides early warning of a potential break-in.

Smart automations based on detected conditions

Different types of events tell you what actually happened – such as opening, moving, tilting or standing still – and thus allow for much more diverse automations.

Energy saving with balcony doors
When the P100 detects that the door has been open for 10 minutes
AND the air conditioner is on and the room is empty
THEN turn off the air conditioner.

Gaming chair usage detection
KO P100 detects movement of gaming chair
AND is the time between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM
THEN it activates the Gaming Mode scene – for example, it turns on the gaming lighting and monitor and starts playing music.

Dual protocol support and Matter compatibility

The sensor supports Thread and Zigbee , ensuring broad compatibility. You can easily switch between the protocols according to your needs.

Thread Protocol
Through the Matter standard, it enables easy integration with larger ecosystems such as Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings and Home Assistant .

Zigbee protocol
When using the Zigbee protocol, you get access to more features in the Aqara Home app, while also enabling compatibility with Matter via an Aqara Zigbee hub, such as the Hub M100.

* A Matter Controller of the selected ecosystem and a Thread Border Router are required.

Smart calibration and automatic learning

The P100 sensor calibrates itself to the exact installation angle , establishing a reference position for more accurate detection.

Additionally, its AI algorithms automatically detect and correct minor deviations over time, improving detection accuracy and reducing false alarms.

Adjustable sensitivity levels and reporting intervals

The P100 offers 10 sensitivity levels across all monitoring modes and an adjustable reporting interval* from 5 seconds to 5 minutes , allowing you to tailor the sensor's responsiveness to different situations.

* Adjustable reporting interval is only available in object monitoring mode.

Clear event logs and visualized charts

Review a detailed history of every move, tilt, and open/closed status so you know exactly what happened and when.

The application also converts this data into clear charts , which you can use to quickly identify patterns and unusual activity.

* These features are only available in the Aqara Home app.

It is important to know

Before deciding on the Aqara Multi-State Sensor P100 Kit, it's worth considering how it will tie into your existing smart home system and how the new devices will connect and automate in your daily life. It's important to weigh up the ease of getting started against the long-term upgrade options of your smart home system.

  • This sensor does not work without a connection to the control panel - for all basic and advanced functions, it is necessary to have a compatible control panel (hub).
  • Since it does not support WiFi connection, it is not suitable for standalone use only via a home network without additional equipment.
  • The multi-purpose design allows you to cover multiple needs (motion, doors/windows, water, etc.), which is practical where you want to monitor multiple scenarios with a single kit with a minimum of devices.
  • A basic plan for connecting to the ecosystem will be required - check compatibility with the control panel and other devices you already have or are planning.

In practice

🟢 Basic home automation

The kit is very suitable for users who want to enter the world of automation (e.g. turning on lights when motion is detected), as it supports several different types of detection (motion, door, water) with one kit.

🟢 Participation in a larger smart system

It is ready to be integrated into larger control panel-based smart home systems, which contributes to greater flexibility and scalability.

🟡 Modernization or expansion of an existing system

Suitable with limitations - because it requires a central office and there is no WiFi, the upgrade only makes sense where you already have or plan to set up a central office of the same ecosystem.

🔴 Standalone use without a central unit

Less convenient, because without a connection to the control center, the kit does not provide any functions - to get started, you first need a basic hub.
