Aqara Spatial Multi-Sensor FP400 – intelligent presence detection

Aqara Spatial Multi-Sensor FP400 is an advanced spatial sensor that uses millimeter wave radar to accurately detect presence, movement, and changes in space. The device combines person detection, multi-user tracking, AI spatial analysis, and light level measurement. This allows for the creation of more advanced smart home automation scenarios tailored to the actual use of the space.

Millimeter wave radar and precise spatial analysis

The FP400 uses precise millimeter-wave radar and spatial analysis based on dividing the space into 320 grid areas, which allows for precise monitoring of events in the room. The sensor supports up to 8 individually defined areas and can simultaneously monitor the position and direction of movement of up to 10 people in real time. The device recognizes, among other things, entering and exiting the room, moving forward and backward, and approaching and moving away from people.

Smart zones and automation

Aqara FP400 allows you to divide a room into arbitrary detection zones and assign specific actions to individual zones. This allows you to create automations that respond to presence, absence, movement, direction of movement, number of people or light level. The sensor can work in conjunction with other smart home devices and allows for automatic control of lighting, air conditioning and other smart systems.

Artificial intelligence and distraction reduction

The FP400 uses artificial intelligence algorithms to improve the accuracy of person detection and reduce the impact of environmental interference. The AI Enhanced Person Detection feature allows it to identify potential sources of interference, such as robot vacuum cleaners, pets, or moving furniture. In addition, the AI Spatial Learning feature allows it to analyze the environment and adapt the sensor's operation to the conditions in the room.

Flexible installation and wide detection range

The device can be mounted on a wall, in a corner of a room or on a ceiling using adhesive, magnetic or screw mounting methods. For wall mounting, the recommended installation height is 1.5 to 2 m, and the maximum detection range is up to 10 m in length and 8 m in width. For ceiling mounting at a height of 3 to 4 m, the device can monitor an area of up to 6 × 5 m for motion detection and up to 5 × 4 m for presence detection.

Compatibility with Aqara Home, Zigbee and Thread

Aqara Spatial Multi-Sensor FP400 supports Zigbee, Thread and Bluetooth communication protocols. The device can be configured in the Aqara Home app using a compatible Aqara hub, and then connected to selected Matter ecosystems from other manufacturers. All configuration options, including setting detection zones and advanced automations, are available when using the Aqara Home app.
