It requires a connection to a central unit, so it is more suitable for those who already have or are planning a smart home with multiple sensors and are looking for an expandable, connected system. Since it does not work via WiFi, it will be mainly satisfied by users who swear by a stable solution with less dependence on the internet, but who do not mind an additional central unit. The sensor is less suitable for those who are looking for a completely independent product without additional equipment.

Recommendation source: Enaa guides and team experiences.

User view

This sensor is often used by gardeners or indoor plant enthusiasts who are concerned that their plants do not suffer from too much or too little water. In practice, it is most useful when you want to monitor soil conditions remotely or automatically adjust watering according to the needs of an individual plant. Connecting to a central unit allows for broader integration into a smart home, especially for users who want to combine several different sensors into a single control system.

Users also appreciate the wide range and ecosystem of Sonoff brand products, which allows for customization and upgrading of the smart home as needs grow.

Why buy at Enaa

When you shop at Enaa, you benefit from a proven offering, where products are selected according to the practical needs of users at home and in the garden, and easy support in selecting or installing a product from the smart sensors and detectors category.

Answers to frequently asked questions

Does this sensor work independently or does it need a control panel?

The SONOFF MS01 sensor requires a control unit to function properly, so it is not suitable for standalone use without additional equipment.

Where is this sensor best used?

The sensor is most useful in indoor potted plants, gardens, or greenhouses, where it helps you constantly monitor soil conditions and thus water plants more accurately.

Can I use this sensor with other smart devices?

Yes, if you have a hub from the Sonoff ecosystem or a compatible smart home system, you can easily connect this sensor and use it to automate other devices, such as an irrigation system.

Does the sensor require a WiFi connection to function?

No, this model does not work via WiFi, but connects within an existing smart system via a central unit, which can be an advantage for users who want less dependence on the network.

Description updated: April 2026

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0756/3457/3643/files/sonoff_pametni_senzor_temperature_in_vlaznosti_za_zemljo_ms01_6r3l51lief4.jpg?v=1791308881
